SUNDAY, APRIL 15, AT INCARNATION

8:30 am:  Holy Eucharist                in the Chapel of the Nativity Homily: the Deacon                 11:00 am: Choral Eucharist Sermon: the Deacon, “I Never Listened to my Father” Music of Bach and Haydn   5:00 pm: Contemplative Candlelight Communion          Meditation: The Seminarian Assistant

 

The lessons for this Sunday are: Acts 5:12a, 17-22,25-29 or Job 42:1-6; Revelation 1:(1-8)9-19 or Acts 5:12a,17-22,25-29; John 20:19-31; Psalm 111 or 118:19-24 .  Bible Study will resume on April 22.  We will look closely at the Holy Spirit in Scripture, tradition, and the Arts.  

 

Tuesday, April 17

7:00 pm. Drinks and Discussion for Twenties and Thirties.  Topic, “Playing God?  The Complexities of Medical Ethics.”  We will look closely at the details of ‘The Ashley Case” and other situations in which the abilities we are granted by science must be measured against our moral sensibilities as Christians.  Come to the Parish House at 7pm.  RSVP beforehand, Amanda@churchoftheincarnation.org,  and call if you are going to be late, so we know to wait for you.  First drink – be it a Coke or a beer – is on the church.

 

Wednesday, April 18

7:15pm. After the Dismissal.  Topic, “What is Means to be the Member of a Resurrection Community.”  Refreshments will be served. 

 

Wednesday, May 2

7:00 pm.  Next meeting of the Women’s Group.  Topic: to be announced.  There will be hor d’ oeuvres and beverages.
