Summer Vacation Bible School
Every August, Incarnation hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children in the neighborhood. Activities include music, storytelling, crafts, games and science. The VBS curricula tend to promote a themed setting to complement the week’s Bible stories; in recent years we have embarked on a Rainforest Adventure, explored Discovery Canyon and enjoyed a Baobab Blast. These programs have taken us all over the world and introduced us to native critters who teach lessons about love, trust, hope and other virtues.
This year, Vacation Bible School will take place August 6-10 from 9 AM to 12 PM. Children from 3-10 are welcome. This week’s VBS will be an “Art Week” led by artists and storytellers who will help children to engage with the Biblical story through art.
